Delete your Master Chat account

This page explains the intended account deletion process and the broad categories of information affected by deletion.

Before public release: The external or manual account deletion request method is coming before public release. No unconfigured email workflow is offered here.

How to delete your account

When the in-app deletion option is available to you, use it while signed in to the Master Chat account you want to delete. An authenticated in-app request helps confirm account ownership and reduces the risk of unauthorized deletion.

  1. Open Master Chat and sign in to the correct account.
  2. Open the profile or account settings area.
  3. Select the account deletion option and review the confirmation.
  4. Confirm deletion through the steps presented in the app.

If you cannot access the in-app option, an official manual request route will be published on this page before Master Chat becomes publicly available.

Information that may be deleted

Subject to technical operation and applicable obligations, account deletion may remove or de-identify categories such as:

  • Your Master Chat account profile and user-facing profile fields.
  • Privacy preferences and supported account settings.
  • Notification tokens associated with the deleted account.
  • Contact-discovery or account-linked preference records.
  • Account-linked conversation and message data where deletion is supported and appropriate.
  • Stored voice or translation assets associated with eligible account content.

Deletion effects may differ where content is part of a conversation involving other users, has already been received by another user, or must be retained temporarily as described below.

Temporary or limited retention

Some information may need to be retained for a limited period where reasonably necessary for security, fraud and abuse prevention, safety report handling, dispute resolution, backup rotation, service integrity, or applicable legal obligations. Retained information will remain subject to access controls and will not be kept longer than reasonably necessary for those purposes.

What deletion means

Account deletion is intended to be permanent. You may lose access to your profile, settings, conversations, and other account-linked information. Uninstalling the app by itself does not delete your account.
